Do you know that there are about thirty species of hares in the world? They are distinguished by their size, their color or their way of life. The Hare is thin, light and has long hind legs that allow him to make great leaps up to 9 feet long. Today we find mostly the Hare in the fields but, it is a solitary animal which becomes sociable only at feeding time. He is even willing to travel for miles to find other hares for this special moment. It is indeed essential to create links with other hares to reproduce in the coming season, because the Hare is wary even of other hares and rejects any stranger.
