The Koala, also called Australian Sloth, belongs to the family of the phascolarctidés of which he is today the last living representative. This nocturnal animal measuring between 24 and 34 inches, has large round ears, a stocky body and short limbs. It is easily recognizable by its woolly brown-gray fur, whose regular maintenance acts like a raincoat against the rain. The koala can sleep up to 20 hours a day and feeds mainly eucalyptus from which it draws all its water supply. Did you know, the koala does not drink a single drop of water during its life.
