At the announcement of his coat of arms, the knight at the tournament makes his entry, in the lists, and joins the other competitors. Appearing in the Middle Ages in the West, tournaments replaced wars and consisted of a set of events. They were an opportunity for the knights to prove their value but also, for the strongest, to enrich themselves.
