The Panther, also known as the Black Leopard, is a majestic feline living mainly in the African savanna and the forests of Southeast Asia, but which can also adapt to other environments such as the seashore and even mountains. Its beautiful coat may be tawny marked with black spots or entirely black. This color is the result of a genetic mutation, in fact the spots are still present but are visible only under a certain angle of light. Very talented when it comes to hunting, this carnivore of 130 pounds, is fast and can make impressive leaps. The Panther is able to climb trees and often drag the carcasses of its prey to avoid being disturbed by other predators such as hyenas.
